Built across a sprawling 635-acre area, the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition featured a variety of incredible attractions. Among these, the Tower of Jewels stood out as a true spectacle. Soaring 43 stories high, it was adorned with an impressive display of 100,000 crystal and polished glass pieces. When the sun shone upon it, the tower sparkled brilliantly, creating the illusion of being adorned with precious gems.

In the present day, only a small fraction of the exposition's legacy has endured the test of time. Nonetheless, what has endured is truly remarkable. Back then, Congress granted the San Francisco Mint the authority to produce a collection of commemorative coins specifically for the exposition. In our contemporary era, we possess one of these remarkable artifacts: the 1915-S Panama Pacific Silver Dollar.

On the obverse side, you'll find an image of Lady Liberty sharing abundance from a cornucopia with a young child. Behind them, the sun descends over San Francisco's Golden Gate. Flipping the coin reveals the reverse, which showcases an eagle perched atop a Union shield.

A mere 60,030 of these coins were produced, and among them, only a scant 27,134 remain in existence. Truly a rarity!

A LITTLE STICKER MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Within each number of the coin grading scale is a small range of condition from low-end to high-end. Certified coins of the same grade can be of varying quality. Many of today’s collectors want coins that are solid or premium quality for their assigned grade. CAC holds coins to a higher standard so you can be confident in the value of yours. We verify previously graded coins … and award our sticker only to those coins that meet the standard for today’s selective buyer.

WHAT THE CAC STICKER MEANS:

  • Verified. Your coin has been verified as meeting the standard for strict quality within its grade.
  • Guaranteed. CAC stands behind our verification.

THE CAC STICKER IS BACKED BY EXPERIENCE.

CAC was founded by leading members of the numismatic community, including John Albanese, a respected authority on coin grading and the rare coin market.
